Ten hours or so after upgrading my internet connection dropped. I waited awhile assuming it was just the cable being down, then investigated other devices. My son's computer, phones, and TVs were still internet connected. I rebooted my computer and the internet worked again immediately. I chalked this up to random weirdness.

Tonight the internet dropped again. This time I went to the network adapter settings and tried to disable the adapter (to re-enable it afterwards) and it would not disable. The status window with the 'Disable' button on it wouldn't even unfreeze. Just a constant spinning cursor showing it was trying to disable. I waited 10+ minutes with no results. I then tried the 'Diagnose' button found on the right-click menu of the network adapter. It went through various checks and got to the point where it said 'attempting to disable network adapter..' and it too froze and couldn't complete. Rebooting again fixed it.
