Forscan Extended License
I just need the extended license to do more, so I'm waiting on that for now. I'm hoping to be able to add DRLs to the Fusion, and I like the idea of clearing all learned behavior of the sensors. The transmission always shifts so much better after it's been cleared of any learned memory.

After playing around with my 2014 Fusion SE's DRL settings a little, I thought I'd share with everyone here the information I've uncovered from my internet research and personal experience as it seems like DRLs are a somewhat unknown topic for our cars - it seems like everyone sorta takes their car to the dealer to enable or disable them and I wanted to write a guide to show how any second gen fusion owner can enable or disable these, as well as customize many more settings that the dealer probably wouldn't do for you.
What kind of settings can I change or customize?
Type First and Last name or company name Hardware ID Registration date Expiration date Status Action. OHP is a pioneering player in innovating scan tools and engine diagnostic devices. It continues to evolve and adapt to the needs of its customers by upgrading its wifi and usb products such as the obd2 cables made compatible with elm327, forscan, focccus and other. FORScan is a software scanner for Ford, Mazda, Lincoln and Mercury vehicles, designed to work over ELM327 and J2534 Pass-Thru. Windows laptop configured, bluetooth adapter on and confirmed working, forscan loaded, extended license trial in place. I'll hook it to the car tomorrow and get a feel for some of the controls before asking a bunch of dumb questions. I did read and reset some codes a few months back, and diagnosed a bad upstream O sensor. Hopefully someone can post a 'FORScan for dummies' and give a step by step on setup and usage. I know the information may be in the other threads but they tend to bounce on and off topic quite a bit. I actively working on the first post now to hopefully answer most of these questions. I was able to set up a FORScan forum account and access the extended license. So that is the update for today. There are a couple of things that I am interested in changing but I'll do them one at a time once I understand the ramifications of what I'm doing.
This may depend on your specific model year and trim level, but some of the settings you have the possibility of changing are:
-Enable/Disable DRLs yourself
-Change which light acts as the DRL
-Add a setting in the guage cluster to enable/disable DRLs on the fly
-Enable/Disable switchback (turn signal on, DRL off) Adobe acrobat pro serial number generator.
-Enable/Disable FOG switchback (turn signal on, fog off)
-Enable/Disable parking light with DRL

ELM327 OBD2 Scanner with MS/HS switch. Here is the one I purchased
A Forscan Extended License Guide to get 2 month trial of extended license
Note: If the link to my specific ELM327 OBD2 scanner expires, ebay/amazon search 'ELM327 Forscan' and you'll get lots of results.
Setting up
The first thing you need to do is install Forscan onto a Windows laptop or tablet with a USB port. This step should be relatively self explanatory.
Next, you need to connect the OBD2 scanner to the OBD2 port on your fusion. It is above the hood release latch, just below the dash cover. You don't need to remove any panels to access it. Connect the USB end of the scanner to your laptop or tablet.
Launch forscan, it should automatically connect to your scanner. If it doesn't you may need to mess with the settings and tell it manually to search for a scanner in the COM port (otherwise, it may start out trying to find a Wi-Fi scanner and give up). As it connects, it may prompt you to change the switch from MS to HS or visa versa. In my specific scanner, HS is the down position and MS is the up position. You may need to trial and error to figure it out.
Once it has finished running the connection and the screen has stopped scrolling through all the modules it is connecting to, click the little computer chip icon on the left hand side. (the one right above the settings cog, 3 up from the bottom). You should see 'configuration and programming' at the top.
This is the fun part. Currently, you should be looking at a list of all the modules you have access to on your car. You can click on any one of these and click the little play button at the bottom of the window to enter into that module to reprogram it (press the stop button to exit module programming). If that sounds scary, don't worry because both Forscan and your car are setup to not let you mess anything up too badly. If Forscan or the car's computer recognizes a number or letter combination that it doesn't understand, it will simply reject it. For the DRL customizations, we're going to be sticking in the BCM (Body Control Module) and IPC (Instrument Panel Cluster). Note that there are two options for each of these, 'Modify AS BUILT Data' and 'Module configuration'. We will always use the 'Modify AS BUILT Data'.
Customizing Your Options
How to read this section:
-In parenthesis, I will either put (BCM) or (IPC), this indicates which module you should be in programming mode for. Note, to exit the current module in order to enter into another module, press the 'Stop' button at the bottom (square).

-After the parenthesis is the line number in the module to look for.
-After the line number, is the model year the modification should work for (this isn't confirmed by me, it's from the excel sheet I am pulling off of, your results may vary. It doesn't hurt to try, I've personally tired things that shouldn't work for my model year and nothing bad happened - the mod just didn't work, however I am still not responsible for anything that goes wrong here).
-After the model year shows which numbers you should modify indicated by capital X's.
-After that are the options you have.
-For a mod to work, you need to change all the lines indicated. For example, to enable DRLs you need to change line number 726-45-01 AND 726-50-01.
Turn on DRLs on a car with DRLs disabled/off, or change DRL light
(BCM)726-45-01 (2014+) xxxx XXxx xxxx Set value at XX to 7F
(BCM)726-50-01 (2014+) XXxx 01 (Disabled - Default (USA) / No DRL) 02 (Enabled - DRL Low Beams) 04 (Enabled - DRL Front Fog Lamps) 08 (Enabled - DRL Front Turn Lamps) 10 (Enabled - DRL Dedicated) - Enables BCM DRL Outputs - C2280C Pins 36 (Right) and 40 (Left) 20 (Enabled - DRL High Beams) 40 (Enabled - DRL Low Beams and Dedicated)
Note - the 'Dedicated DRL output' on Fusions 2017+ is the LED light strip, on Fusions 2013-2016 it is Pins 36 (Right) and 40 (Left) of the Smart Junction Box.
Turn on Parking Lights with DRL
(BCM)726-26-02 (2014+) xXxx xxxx xxxx 0 (Disabled - Default) 1 (Enabled)
DRL Switchback w/ Turn signal (i.e. turn off DRL when turn signal ON)
(BCM)726-26-02 (2014+) xxxX xxxx xxxx 0 (Disabled) 1 (Enabled - Default)
Add DRL on/off switch in Instrament Panel Cluster - must already have DRLs enabled
(BCM)726-16-02 (2014+) xXxX xXxX xXxx 0202 0202 024F (IPC Control Locked Out/Inoperable - 2014 Default) 0101 0101 0049 (Enabled - IPC Control Allowed)
(BCM)726-21-01 (2014+) xxxx xxxx xXxx 0 (Disabled) 1 (Enabled) 2 (Option Locked Out/Inoperable - 2014 Default)
(IPC)720-02-01 (2014+) xxXx xxxx xxxx X+4 (Enabled) - take your current value and add 4 X-4 (Disabled) - take your current value and subtract 4
Note: HEX numbers go [1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,A,B,C,D,E,F], so 8+4=C, D-3=A, etc.
Note: DRLs will only work with headlight switch in AUTO position, and DRLs come on only when Car is NOT in park.
Fog light Swtichback w/ turn singal (turn signal on, Fog OFF)
(BCM)726-28-02 (2014+) xxxx xXxx xxxx 0 (Default Operation - Fog Lights Constant) 1 (Fog Lights Switchback w/Blinker)
Additional info
As I've previously stated, this information is simply an accumulation of what I've found online put into a (hopefully) easy to follow guide for beginners. Check out this excel sheet for a more comprehensive list of the mods you can do using Forscan. I also want to give credit to DanMc85 over at 2Gfusions.net for writing a comprehensive guide on Forscan, as well as pioneering the AS BUILT data information found on the excel sheet for second gen fusions. Let me know if you guys have any questions, or if you've found out information that isn't consistent with this guide (I only have my 2014 SE to play around with, so unfortunately I cannot test this on every trim level and model year).

A few members requested I provide a tutorial for how I disabled my shift light and tpms.
My reasons for this are the shift light annoyed me and I installed steelies for the winter and chose not to pay another couple hundred dollars for babysitting sensors. As a result, you get a tpms fault and I doubt you'd pass inspection.

Alright, so first you need to download forscan from forscan.org and register for an extended license so that you can make changes. You also need a windows tablet or laptop as well as a obd2 scanner. The scanner I chose is the OBlink MX Bluetooth.
After connecting forscan with your car, it will search for all available modules. Once this is done, click the chip icon on the left hand column under the wrench symbol. Then find the line that reads 'IPC (Central Configuration) Main', select it, then click the play button at the bottom. You will see a list of parameters and their values.
I am not responsible for any problems that may occur from changing these settings.

Find 'Tire Pressure Monitoring System' and change the drop down to 'Without monitoring system'
Find 'Shift Indication' and change the drop down to 'Without shift indication'.
Once you've changed the parameters you'd like, click write at the bottom. It will write the changes to the module and will have to cycle the ignition. Once that completes, you can disconnect forscan. Enjoy!
