I have a Compaq Presario CQ60 212TU and i ve got the windows 7 RC x64 on it. However the display driver keeps crashing. Geforce 745m specs. I have tried updating it, even going to the compaq website and downloading the vista x64 but it just keeps crashing like every 20 minutes. Any ideas on what i could do? I've updated to Windows 10 and have been getting intermittent display driver crashes. The display driver appears to hiccup, pause for perhaps a second or so, then recover and continue as if nothing had happened.
This keeps happing to me and is really getting on my nerves.
I would be playing a game or searching the web and my screen starts flashing then black screens and disconnects and comes back saying 'Display driver NVIDIA windows kernel mode driver stopped responding and successfully recovered. If anyone knows a fix for this it would be greatly appreciated.

monitor: generic PnP monitor
VGA cable with DVI to VGA converter in computer
If you need to know anything else just reply and I can tell you but not sure if anything else would be causing this
