today i received my T1 with an original programming cable for this radio. I installed the correct software and selected the virtual com port (in my case this is 5). Still, i simply don't get a connection with my radio. When I want to read my radio out the radio is responding by doing a short reset and the light flashes. Then there is an error on my screen that it can't establish a connection. I already tried to start the software in administrator and compatibly mode but without any luck.

    It appears that many of the cheap Baofeng USB programming cables use a clone of the Prolific PL-2303 chip that is not supported by the latest Windows driver. This Miklor web page does a good job of explaining the driver problem and giving some helpful advice. The best 64-bit driver I have found that works with all the 'Prolific' adapters is old Version 3.3.2.102. Our 'PL2303 Code 10 Fix' program will remove all incompatible drivers, make a change in the registry so that Windows can never update the driver without your permission, and install the Version 3.3.2.102 compatible drivers. Ever since upgrading to Windows 10, I have been unable to get my Baofeng GT-3TB radio to communicate with my computer using my old Prolific USB to Serial Driver. I searched several sites trying to figure out where I could get a new suitable driver.
